Stress, Nutrition, and Essential Oils

Do those three words even go together?

A while into my healthy journey, I started to learn the role of nutrition when it comes to stress management. I've never been good at managing stress in a healthy manner.

My old programming still comes up time and again when I'm tired or overwhelmed. That is a quick trigger response, which is usually an angry tone and volume. And it is just so easy to reach for the junk food. You can always tell how stressed I am by how fast we run out of chocolate chips in this house. :)

It wasn't until we started our plant-based diet for other reasons, that I realized managing stress got a whole lot easier too! Bonus, amiright? And I'm a naturalist junkie, so even better that I could not only manage my weight easily, I could now manage my stress easier with PLANTS! Who would have thought? Now to just go tell my younger self this hack. :)

The link that I was missing is the fact that long-term stress (in my case-relationships, jobs, etc.) depletes valuable nutrients from the body. This not only causes damage to our cells, it actually causes the reproduction of unhealthy cells. If our body is governed by unhealthy cells, what do you suppose our results are going to look like?...Exactly.

Let's avoid continuing down that road or even better-avoid that road altogether. This is where the solutions come in! Inclusion of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids come in to play! We can find what we need already in plants. And if you're feeling like you want a little extra boost (to make up some ground after some years spent in stress like me) a quality supplement can help fill that gap.

Essential oils from a quality source can cross the cell membrane and start cellular/DNA repair nearly immediately. Good ones to look into for this are DDR Prime, Console Blend, PastTense blend, Balance blend, Frankincense, and Copaiba. I''ll cover each of these in-depth coming up! Stay tuned.

Take care of your cells and they will take care of you! Learn more about how essential oils can be a tool in your healthcare toolbox by clicking here.
