What do you want?

On the face of it, it seems almost harsh doesn't it?

But really. When was the last time you asked yourself, "What do I want?" What do I want my life to look like? What do I want my relationships to look like? What do I want my bank account to look like? What do I want? What do you want to make up your dream life? Because I can tell you, you are so deserving of your wildest dreams because, you are. Because you are worthy just by being. It is nothing you have to earn first. Nothing you have to do first. You are enough.

So that is step one. Step two is, "Then what do you need to do?"

What do you need to do in order to get the results you are after? What do you need to do to get what you came for in this life? What is the first step?

Step three: Do that!

Step four: Repeat.

Our kids get this. My two year old son gets this. He decides he wants something, he acts accordingly. With the full faith that he is going to get what it is that he wants. Now sometimes as parents we have to step in because God has granted us wisdom to know what he is asking for is not healthy for him. But that doesn't alter the process. In fact, I believe God, in his infinite wisdom does this same thing for us. We might really want something, but he knows things we do not. He's heard conversations that we haven't. He knows what is best for us. So sometimes the answer to what we want is really a "Not yet, I have something better for you."

So I challenge you to start looking at your surroundings and asking yourself these questions. It really is this simple to have the life you dream of. But sometimes the hardest part (for me especially) is the deciding part.

Deciding what exactly in our world of millions of choices, what is it that you actually want?

Then what do you need to do?

What do you want?
